Changing Tides is currently looking for romance and erotic romance in any subgenre and at any heat level.
Our ideal projects are: prolific erotic romance authors who can release multiple short titles a year, or sweeping epic love stories that itch to be told in multi-book format. We accept both agented and un-agented submissions.
We would love to see paranormal, comedy, cowboys, mystery cozies, bad boys, billionaires, sports romance, BDSM, LGBTQ, strong heroines, alpha males, workplace romance, shifters, space operas, and everything in between. If your manuscript does not fall into one of these categories but you still think it’s something we would be interested in, please feel free to send it in.
Current special interests include Race Car Romance, Baseball Romance, Vampires, and Shifter Romance.
We do not accept stories that contain rape, incest, bestiality, pedophilia, necrophilia, or graphic gore. We do not accept stories that don’t have a HEA or HFN ending, unless it’s a series with cliffhangers that ultimately end with a HEA. We are not looking for non-fiction, memoirs, or poetry.
Special Submissions Call:
We are currently seeking novella length fiction to be part of our Paranormal Romance anthology. Stories should be 15K-30K words and contain a paranormal element and HEA or HFN ending. Please submit to email@example.com with Anthology in the subject line.
Here’s how we rate our heat levels:
1-Flame Sweet/No sex
2-Flames Sensual/Petting & sex behind closed doors
3-Flames Steamy/Heavier foreplay, actual sex is downplayed
4-Flames Spicy/Graphic sex, not quite erotic romance
5-Flames Scalding/Sex is the driving force or is essential to the story (these are considered erotic romance or erotica)
How to submit:
Please send us your complete manuscript to firstname.lastname@example.org
Be sure your work is as polished as it can be and is double spaced in a readable font like Times New Roman or Calibri. A 12 pt. font is preferred, but as long as we can read it clearly, you can submit it. Please DO NOT double space after a period or use bolded words or all caps within the story. Please include with your submission a query letter with the following information:
- Author name and contact information
- Author website/social media links
- The blurb for the book
- A brief synopsis of the story (to include how it ends)
- Any publishing experience
- Your heat rating (as listed above)
- The genre and wordcount
- Whether the book is a standalone or part of a series
- Your complete manuscript as an attachment in .doc or .docx format
*We read and respond to every submission. If you haven’t heard from us in 4 weeks, please resubmit.
