Marya decided to do what she loved and began freelancing as a cover designer, and later went on to open Clean Teen Publishing. Marya was recently honored with her second RONE Award for one of her covers and has received numerous other accolades for her gorgeous designs. Cynthia Shepp | Punctuation Prodigy (Editor in Chief)

CTP_0006bw

Cynthia has always had a passion for reading. From a very young age, she knew that she wanted to grow up to be the person that got to read the books first. She followed that dream, graduating with honors from Grand Canyon University, receiving a BA in English/Literature. She has a special fondness for independent authors, as she applauds the gumption to realize your dreams on your own. If she had to pick a favorite genre of books, it would dystopian, but she loves them all. She loves living in the worlds that authors create, even if only for a short time.

Cynthia lives in Alabama with her husband and three rambunctious children, ranging in age from three to nine. Her dream allows her to stay at home with her children, do the job she loves, and be the mom she wants to be at the same time. She enjoys spending time with her family, iced coffee, camping, and pretending to love Auburn Tiger football with her husband.

Melanie Newton | Social Media Trailblazer

A self-confessed twitter spammer and completely #HashTag addicted, when Melanie isn’t fighting the ever-changing algorithms on Facebook, she is usually rummaging through our submissions looking for the next best seller. Reading is her superpower, and she even has a necklace to prove it!

The hostess with the mostess, Melanie loves a good Facebook party and she always says the party doesn’t start until she gets there… probably because she is the one organizing it.

Kelly Risser | Markup Maven

With a professional history of quality control and proofreading, Kelly is pleased to join the Clean Teen Publishing editing team, where she helps to polish manuscripts and make them shine. When she’s not reading or writing, she can be found catching a movie, scanning the clearance racks for an amazing deal, or working on craft projects. Her favorite genres are paranormal and fantasy, but she’s seldom met a book she doesn’t like.

Sandra “Sandy” Salinas | Booking Bibliophile

SSandy profile 1andra (Sandy) Salinas works in the medical field in South Florida, but she is an avid reader when not hurting (healing) people. She has been known to forgo sleep to finish a good story, and to stalk her favorite authors at book events and on social media. She loves her Kindle and her Nook, but still harbors a fondness for the growing bookshelf of signed books she shares with her grown daughter. She loves to support authors, aspiring and entrenched, indie and traditionally published. Her favorite stories are paranormal, dystopian, and sci-fi, although she will read just about everything. She likes to time travel, ride mystical creatures, and sip green Andorian ale.

 Ethan Gregory | Submissions Editor

Ethan Gregory has worn so many hats through his years in the book-world, he may as well open his own haberdashery. From street teams to beta-reading, Ethan has worked with authors across genres to spread the good word on literature; working with several New York Times and International Bestselling Authors. Ethan is most known for his founding and administrating of his twice Utopia-Con “Blog of the Year”-nominated book blog, One Guy’s Guide to Good Reads. Aside from blogging, Ethan completed an internship with the Corvisiero Literary Agency where he gained special behind-the-scenes insights into the publishing world. While publicity has long been his game, Ethan is honored to accept the position of Submissions Editor for Changing Tides Publishing. When it comes to reading, Ethan doesn’t discriminate. While he’ll read anything, he’s particularly interested in Paranormal, Historical, and New Adult Romance. He’s also searching high and low for the next big ‘sports romance’ series (he is a guy after all).

Lauren Dootson | Red Ink Queen

Lauren is the mother of  three children – Clay, Sydney, and Beck – and in her ‘spare time’ she’s a student at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College for Marketing/Journalism. She also works as a PR/Marketing Manager and as a staff writer/editor for Telfie Buzz (formerly Voice of TV). Now, she adds the title of freelance editor to her long and impressive resume. She is a firm believer that there is no such thing as too many books, and always has a backup copy of them on her Kindle. She has plenty of hard copies to get her through the Zombie Apocalypse, assuming there will be no electricity.
